Throughout my career I have - and continue to - seek professional growth through learning. I have a variety of different training and experience under my belt, and I like to use what I have learned to take a holistic approach to therapy. Through my work I strive to shed light on the connection between your mind, body, emotion, and behaviour. Utilizing various approaches, techniques, skills, and reflections, we can work to change your behaviours, change your relationship to your emotions, modify your thinking patterns, and help you be more resilient when life throws difficult things your way.
Overall, I will remain client-centered, shaping my approach to meet your specific goals and needs.
As much of my training has been grounded in behavioural therapy, I do emphasize action. I believe that changing our behaviours can change our lives. All of our actions (even inaction) will take us one step closer or one step further from our goals. Together, we can help you to do less of those actions that take you further away from your goals, and engage in more of those actions that fill you up and help you live in line with your values.
In addition to evidence based cognitive and behavioural methods, I have taken interest in acceptance, mindfulness, values work, and positive psychology. I strive to bring techniques and skills into the therapy room that have been shown to increase happiness levels and create more contentment and fulfillment in peoples lives.

You don't need to have a "big" problem or a mental health diagnosis to benefit from therapy. Maybe you just don't feel like yourself, or you need to talk through something with someone who isn't so involved in your life. Maybe you're looking to improve something about yourself, or you just want 1 or 2 sessions of coaching on a specific situation. Whatever it is, don't be afraid to reach out!
